Mark Okwor BSc (Hons) Economics, FCCA, MBA (Managing Director)
Mark is a seasoned professional with over 20 years’ worth of experience in finance, investment banking, global capital market and asset management. As a Managing Director/CEO of Capitalfield Asset Management, he is responsible for the execution of the company strategy, business plan, operating model, investments, financials and to ensure the firm meets its short, medium and long-term goals.
He started his career in 2000 as an accountant and investment manager at Barclays & Aberdeen Asset Management in London and later joined the investment banking and trading arm of JP Morgan as Vice President in various trading, risk and finance function in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) fixed income, capital market financing, investor services & derivative business.
He was a Director at Lehman Brothers debt capital market and treasury funding unit and was part of the team that restructured and sold part of Lehman $639bn legacy asset, corporate loans, asset backed securities, equities, structured credit, commodities and derivatives portfolio across multiple EMEA legal entities.
In 2017, Mark was the pioneer CEO of Leadway Asset Management responsible for the operational set up of the firm and prior to joining Capitalfield, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Coronation Asset Management where he participated in the restructuring and capacity building of the organization, overseeing all aspects of investments, technology, products, operations and the execution of the strategy of the business.

He is a graduate of Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
